K-12 Programs: Junior Jacks

Kids Theatre at SFA

Junior Jacks Theatre Camp was started in 2009 to serve local youth while offering an opportunity for SFA theatre teaching certification students an opportunity to teach students that are younger than high-school age . It was designed as a day-camp version of our well-established High School Workshop program. Children participate in theatre games, memorize and rehearse parts and perform for family and friends at the end of the camp. It is open to children entering grades 3-9.

Dates/Times


ONLINE OPTION:
  • Camp will meet via Zoom August 2-6 and 9-13
  • Grades 3-6 will meet from 10AM to 12:30PM each day Monday through Friday
  • Grades 7-9 will meet 1PM to 3:30 PM each day Monday through Friday
  • Performances will be recorded on Friday, August 13 and aired on the SFA School of Theatre YouTube channel August 14.


ON CAMPUS OPTION:
  • Camp will meet August 2-6 and 9-13
  • There will be one group of Grades 3-6 from 9AM -12:30PM and one group from 1:30PM-5PM
  • There will be one group of Grades 7-9 from 9AM -12:30PM and one group from 1:30PM-5PM
  • Final performances will be in person on August 14
  • Grades 3-6 groups will perform at 10AM with an awards ceremony immediately following
  • Grades 7-9 will perform at 1PM with an awards ceremony immediately following

Cost

  • Online $75 ($50 for additional siblings)
  • In person $85 ($60 for each additional sibling)
  • need-based scholarships may be available; please notify director of need
